In Part 1 of this series, I discussed rebuilding the foundation of your website. In Part 2, I discussed replacing Microsoft FrontPage web components with alternatives that are standards-compliant and that don’t require the deprecated FrontPage Server Extensions (FPSE). In this part, I’ll deal with alternatives to most of the remaining web components.
Keep in mind that while although it’s still safe to use Microsoft Expression Web to edit existing web pages that use FrontPage web components, there’s no way to add new instances of those web components.
